submitted by Laila B. - |Recommended: YesMy wife's sister and brother in law have lived here for over ten years, and we fell in love with the building while visiting them a long time ago. We moved here nine months ago and haven't regretted it at all. To make it even sweeter my wife's brother and sister in law moved into the building around the same time we did. All of us living in the same building definitely made the darkest days of covid 19 more barrable. We love the building ,our loft and the amazing amenities and convivences. There is nothing like hoping in an uber and being at one of the many downtown restaurants in just a few minutes without parking issues . We haven't met a single unfriendly person yet. We love the staff always friendly and professional and ready to instantly take care of any concerns. I love that my name is on the building just kidding . I do have one regret about moving here.....that we didn't move here years ago......we simply love it here

submitted by Guy M. - |Recommended: YesNeeds improvement in certain areas. — I do appreciate the increase in management keeping tenants informed through email. The current concern is the generators below my window on Belleview. Cannot open windows because of fumes smelling of gas and constant noise.

Maintenance staff are amazing and are always friendly, they are who really make this place tolerable. They don't receive enough credit. Communication coming from the leasing management office, I have no words.

submitted by Robin P. - |Recommended: YesLove it here — When we decided to move to Dallas after living in the country for almost forty years, this was the first place we looked. Yes, I looked at other apartments and lofts but this building spoke to us. I loved the history, the architecture, and how it has a little bit of space from downtown, yet close to all things Dallas. Love the staff and we believe we got more bang for our buck here. We feel like Southside is becoming our home and plan to stay for a while.

submitted by Cynthia H. - |Recommended: YesElevators HVAC Housekeeping — I think we all get that it's an old bldg. No issues there. But the elevator situation has gone on far too long. Not at all happy about the HVAC and I suspect the complaints will skyrocket once it really heats up until the repairs are done. That happened weeks ago but it seems the solution has been slow coming. My general everyday complaint is that it seems housekeeping maint staff way over-utilize the main elevators which are already limited. It may be a PITA for them but I have never understood why they have to use the main elevators rather than the freight elevator. I guess that's too out of the way but when they monopolize 1 elevator and then another is out of service, it becomes irritating to wait 15 minutes to get an elevator -- or squeeze into an elevator with a maint cart. Not sure that can ever be solved but just letting you know it's a negative. Overall I still like SSOL
